Plus, all the data you find below is accessible via Oricon right here (Blu-ray) and here (DVD). To access the sales data, be sure to click on the “Analytics” accordion and then click “Chart”. This should bring you to the Google chart page that contains the latest available sales data.
Please note that Oricon’s daily surveys do not cover all stores in Japan, and some data may be missing from the list provided below. To view the list of stores that participate in Oricon’s surveys, please refer to the link provided (or the post here). If you would like to learn more about Oricon and their tracking methods, you may find additional information here. While I have manually counted the number of stores included in the list below, please be aware that there may be some errors, and not all stores are listed on official websites as many are exclusive sets listed to certain retailers. Therefore, it’s important to keep in mind that the number of stores counted may not fully reflect all retailers that sell the product.
Please note that the cutoff point on Oricon’s Top 20 Blu-ray general chart for the week was 1,264 copies whereas on the DVD chart, that would be 436 copies. Therefore, any releases denoted with “N/A” below have sold less than the amount stated.

With regards to Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai: Next Sky‘s sales performance, the 13,025 copies sold is still less than the five-day performances of some of Season 1 and Season 2’s volumes. Next Sky has notably sold fewer copies than Season 1’s Volume 2 by 33.56% of which at the time the volume sold 19,603 copies and is the largest drop Next Sky has against whereas when compared to Season 1 Volume 6 and Season 2 Volume 2, the fall is about 30% and 22% each, respectively. Against Season 2 Volume 4, the decrease in sales is much more minuscule by 5.63%.
2. Kimetsu no Yaiba: Katanakaji no Sato-hen Vol. 3 [Limited Release] (NEW)

Kimetsu no Yaiba: Katanakaji no Sato-hen continues to note a decline in sales for its volumes, this time, with Volume 3 down by 46.61% and 43.46% respectively against Yuukaku-hen‘s 1st and 6th volumes. The latest volume only noted an increase in copies sold against Season 1’s Volume 2 and Volume 3 of which it sold 10.88% and 1.01% more copies. This marks the series third worst performance among its main TV Anime entries’ discs. All in all, with the 3rd volume in, the debut sales for Katanakaji no Sato-hen has reached 38,563 copies with a revenue of 244,885,500 yen (≈1.66 million USD).
Additional Comments
A follow-up season to Katanakaji no Sato-hen has been announced, titled “Hashira Geiko-hen” or the “Hashira Training Arc.” The actual broadcast date of the season is still unknown as of the time of writing.

Like the two aforementioned titles, “Oshi no Ko” is also noticing a slide in copies sold. The latest performance of its 3rd volume is 24.05% and 6.14% fewer in terms of copies sold an as such has also caused a significant drop in revenue against Volume 1. In total, “Oshi no Ko” has attained a total of 21,554 copies sold just with its debut performance, reaching 164,943,000 yen (≈1.12 million USD) in revenue.

Golden Kamuy was seen with its 9th volume DVD-only appearance on the Oricon sales chart at 965 copies sold back in March 2021. Due to stiff competition, the Blu-ray edition failed to place on the Top 10 list for the week. Prior to that, the series sold 3,169 copies for Volume 8 in its first three days between February 22 and February 28, 2021. Volume 10 made its debut the week between July 24 and July 30 selling 4,098 copies in its first three days which is about 12% more than Volume 11 despite being at two days less than the latest volume.
