Spy X Family Sales Exceeded 4 Million Copies in Japan

Spy X Family was released back in 2019 by Mangaka Tatsuya Endou about a master spy who one day received a peculiar request by his superiors. Codenamed “Twilight”, he was tasked to form a temporary family and start a new life. The title has been gaining traction in Japan as of late with its latest volume debuted in May this year selling more than 300,000 copies in Japan. Its third volume too performed well earlier this year selling over 430,000 copies when it was listed in the charts (please see Dec. 30 to Feb. 2 below).

Please note that, data available is exclusive of sales when the Manga is not listed in the Top 30 charts.

Recently, the creator of the series released an illustration to commemorate the title for exceeding the 4 million copies mark sold in Japan. This is also inclusive of sales of the digital version of the Manga.

The Manga is currently available in English via Manga Plus, with chapter 29 released a week ago (June 28, 2020). So far, VIZ Media has two of its volumes available in English with the first already out on June 2nd, while volume 2 is slated to release this September. I have provided the links to the volumes for those interested down below.
