The release of its latest and 24th volume saw Jujutsu Kaisen ranked 1st on Oricon’s monthly chart for the month of October with total sales amounting to 1,044.90 million yen (≈6.99 million USD) taking into account all segments tracked by Oricon with the Manga segment being the heaviest contributor to sales. Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 24 made its debut selling 671,469 copies in its first five days pushing the title to top the series sales chart for the week between October 2 and October 8, 2023, at 400.05 million yen (≈million USD) before slowing down by 54.22% the week after to 183.15 million yen (≈1.22 million USD). This is further strengthened with the release of the series’ Anime “Jujutsu Kaisen: Kaigyoku Gyokusetsu” volume that saw a very strong turnout of 26,512 copies sold in its first five days, the series’ best disc debut performance to date.

At Number 2 is Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon at 870.30 million yen (≈5.82 million USD), supported mostly by the release of its live-action film adaptation disc releases that saw a massive 101,540 copies sold in its first five days. Seeing that the total produced for the month is not far off from the 757.08 million yen (≈5.06 million USD) the series generated between September 25 and October 1—the week the film’s discs were released—sales have slowed down considerably from October 2 to October 29. Like Jujutsu Kaisen, all segments are accounted for, however its Video segment is the largest contributor to sales for the series for the month.

Spy x Family is 3rd with 557.01 million yen (≈3.72 million USD) worth of sales. All segments are accounted for in the series too with the strongest emphasis on its Manga segment. The 12th Manga volume for the series was released the same week as Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 24 seeing it placing 2nd, and not too far off, at 574,149 copies sold in five days. This had allowed the series to comfortably chart 2nd on Oricon’s weekly series chart between October 2 and October 8, 2023, sitting above Kusuriya no Hitorigoto. The position maintained for Spy x Family the week after, though with sales 58.51% down. With no other new and impactful releases the following two weeks, the series was absent on Oricon’s Top 3 weekly series chart.
