Anime Blu-ray and DVD’s overall performance for the week remains lacklustre between June 6 and June 12 despite having more new releases to offer. The debuts of Honzuki no Gekokujou and Hanyou no Yashahime which should have provided more of a boost to the charts performed below par for the week as Honzuki no Gekokujou in particular could not make it onto Oricon’s Top 20 list, selling below 800 copies for its Blu-ray editions while its DVD counterpart is lower than 350 copies sold. Note that both are in their first 5 days. Continuing on, Honzuki no Gekokujou at Number 2, on its product page, the release is listed as Honzuki no Gekokujou Blu-ray Box Volume 2, but this does not refer to the second season, instead it belongs to the third season that was broadcasted between April 2020 and June 2020. To avoid confusion, I have decided to rename it to 3rd Season Blu-ray BOX. The Box Set contains all ten episodes including a bunch of extras such as the 150-page special booklet and a newly recorded drama CD.

And for the rest, Walt Disney’s Turning Red tops the chart at 1,939 copies sold in its first 3 days for its Regular Edition while the 4K version of the film can be found at Number 5. The Addams Family 2 is 4th on the list at 5 days of sales while the Blu-ray edition of One Piece’s 20th Season Wano Country piece. 30 settled for the 10th spot. Note that its DVDs performed better for the week at 578 copies sold. The following week will continue to be slow with only one notable release making its debut, Cue! Volume 4.
