Fourth Year Anniversary, YAY!

July 14 actually marked the Blog’s fourth year in operation! I would like to thank you all for the support throughout these years. I could have not done it without your support!

Also remember to check out Oricon and support them with their work if you can. I have detailed how to do so here. Not to forget, TSUTAYA, COMIC ZIN and, do visit their respective sites. For more company-related or industry-related articles, you can click on the “INDUSTRY” tab in the menu section above and click on the respective year. I have also added the box office performances of Anime, though mostly about the recent releases of which you can read here. The box office leaderboard is still work in progress, but you can have a look at it here if you are interested.

As for the Blog’s performance, the number of views have slipped slightly and may continue to slip further this year. Well, this is expected since leaks are abundant when it comes to Oricon’s lists. Hopefully, we will see a rebound.

The following are the Top 5 most viewed posts so far for 2023 (up to July 13):

1. Japan Top Weekly Manga Sales Ranking: March 6 – March 12, 2023 (4,249 views)
2. Oricon’s Yearly Manga Sales Ranking 2022 (3,688 views)
3. Japan Top Weekly Manga Sales Ranking: January 23 – January 29, 2023 (2,739 views)
4. Oricon’s Yearly Light Novel Sales Ranking 2022 (1,914)
5. Japan Top 10 Weekly Anime Blu-ray and DVD Sales Ranking: December 26 – January 1, 2022 (1,826)

Moving forward, my income has taken a hit this year, therefore I had to take extra jobs this month and for the next few months. Recovery is in sight, however, I am a bit worried if it’ll negatively impact the Blog’s productivity. Well, if anything, I’ll be sure to make an announcement here.

Anyway, charts will be out as usual, though I might be late for the charts slated for releases in the second week of August as I will be travelling at the time. That said, if all goes well, I may just have them out in time.

I wish all of you a great remaining year ahead. Take care and stay safe!
