During the week of March 6 to March 12, PlayStation 5 maintained its lead over Switch, despite a drop in week-over-week sales. The cumulative sales figures for both PlayStation 5 editions amounted to 64,869 units, up 17.27% from the previous week’s 78,412 units. Meanwhile, Switch sold 59,901 units, down 9.96% from the previous week. These consoles make up 50.1%, 46.3%, and 2.2% of the total market share for the week, respectively.
Xbox Series saw a significant jump in sales, with 2,887 units sold, representing a 240.45% increase from the previous week’s 848 units sold. PlayStation 4 and New 2DS LL sold 1,602 units and 97 units, respectively, which is a 3.20% decrease and a 46.97% increase from the previous week’s sales figures of 1,655 units and 66 units.
Overall, PlayStation 5 maintained its edge over Switch in terms of sales and market share during the given week, while Xbox Series saw a significant increase in sales.

According to the latest Top 10 list from Famitsu, two new releases have made it onto the list. Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse appears twice on the list, at both Number 4 and 7, with a total of 19,743 units sold in its first four days. Originally released in Japan in 2008, the fourth installment of the franchise features upgraded graphics. Check out the launch trailer for more information about the game.
The horror game Ib also made its debut on the Top 10 list at Number 6, selling 9,080 copies for the Switch edition. First released in February 2012 on Windows and Mac, the game follows the story of a young girl named Ib who visits an art gallery with her parents. After wandering off alone, she stumbles upon a painting called Fabricated World and suddenly finds herself alone. The launch trailer provides more information about the game.
