After three days of its release, the film “Psycho-Pass Movie: Providence” has generated 200,000,000 yen (≈1.44 million USD) in box office revenue in Japan, with a total audience count of 177,000 people, according to Kogyo Tsushinsha, a box office research firm.

About the Movie
The film, produced by studio Production I.G, was released on May 12, 2023. It follows the story of Akane Tsunemori, who, while attending a meeting as the Chief Inspector of the Public Security Bureau, receives a report of an incident that occurred on a foreign vessel. The film also features Shinya Kougami and Nobuchika Ginoza as two other main characters alongside Akane Tsunemori. It serves as a direct sequel to the ONA (Original Net Animation) series “Psycho-Pass 3: First Inspector,” which was released in March 2020 (source: IMDb).
