Japan Top Weekly Video Game Ranking: April 13, 2020 ~ April 19, 2020

Sales of Final Fantasy VII Remake fell sharply in its second week as it stumbled nearly 90% down from the previous week’s 702,853 copies sold to 70,652 copies sold the period between April 13 – April 19 according to Famitsu here. Also, it is thanks to Famitsu that we get to see the sales ranking on a weekly basis, so why not go over to their site here and show them some love!

However, Square Enix has mentioned that the game managed to sell 3.5 million copies within 3 days of its launch with 1 million copies have been reportedly sold in Japan alone (Sources: Square Enix, 4gamer, PlayStation, Famitsu). The reported sales figure is inclusive of digital sales and total shipment worldwide. The original classic has recorded a cumulative sales of more than 12.6 million copies sold worldwide according to Square Enix.
