Before diving into the entities performance below, it is important to note that, as it stands as of FY2023, IG Port owns Production I.G, Mag Garden and Singal MD by 100% whilst the ownership over Wit Studio is at 66.7%.
Also note that the projects mentioned below are delivered or were airing within the FY2023 period. It is unknown when the studios receive sales from the projects either a half or a full sum prior to delivery or when all episodes or works are fully delivered. It is also highly plausible that sales for some projects are only recorded in the latest fiscal year for the ones worked on in the fiscal year before, or it is not recorded in the latest fiscal year, but in the next fiscal year that follows.
Last but not least, FY2023 occurred from June 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023.
Studios Performances
Production I.G
The studio recorded a drop of 25% in sales performance in FY2023 from 5,315,234 thousand yen34.67 million USD in FY2022 to 3,987,502 thousand yen26.04 million USD. This is, however, not its weakest performance seeing FY2017 remains the most under-performed year ever noted since FY2008 at 2,284,239 thousand yen14.90 million USD. As for FY2023’s performance, it sits right behind FY2019’s 4,024,668 thousand yen26.25 million USD with the strongest sales ever reported belonging to FY2021’s 5,504,118 thousand yen35.91 million USD.
Despite the not so strong sales, profit-wise, FY2023 has done exceptionally well, recording a massive jump of nearly 300% to post 397,966 thousand yen2.60 million USD after a loss in FY2022 totalling 203,207 thousand yen1.33 million USD. This is also the studio’s second best performance since FY2008.

Wit Studio
As for Wit Studio, it saw the highest sales since FY2016 in FY2023, nearly quadraple the performance in FY2017. The 3,740,178 thousand yen24.40 million USD in sales in FY2023 is also 33.85% more than what was reported in FY2022 which was worth 2,794,408 thousand yen18.23 million USD.
Whilst sales were incredible in FY2023, its net income is not as great as FY2022’s 222,940 thousand yen1.45 million USD. Nevertheless, the 87,260 thousand yen569.30 thousand USD achieved in FY2023 is the second best performance thus far since FY2016. Note that the studio has, since FY2016, mostly recorded losses with the heaviest seen in FY2021 at 501,579 thousand yen3.27 million USD.

Publishing Subsidiary: Mag Garden’s Performance
The publishing arm of IG Port has consistently reported increasing sales since FY2019 with the peak reached in FY2023 worth 2,740,479 thousand yen17.88 million USD being Mag Garden’s most impressive performance so far since FY2008. This increase is 7.57% more than what was reported in FY2022 and is about three times more than what was recorded in FY2008.
Since FY2008, the subsidiary has not reported any losses, signalling how profitable of a business it is. The lowest profit can be seen in FY2013 worth 1,691 thousand yen11.03 thousand USD whereas FY2023 is now its strongest at 365,806 thousand yen2.39 million USD, a 1.71% improvement over the prior fiscal year.
