TSUTAYA Weekly Manga Sales Ranking: September 26 – October 2, 2022

There are not that many new releases making it onto TSUTAYA’s list for the week between September 26 and October 2, though there are certainly several new releases to take note of. First, head over to Number 5 and you will Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! Volume 8 in its first 7 days which actually made its debut the week before with its pre-release taking the 37th spot. It has been a long time since the series last appeared on any of the charts covered by the Blog, however, it was last seen for Volume 4 back in August 2020 at 24,355 copies sold in its first 6 days. The Manga is an adaptation of the Light Novel of the same name and is serialized in Comp Ace by KADOKAWA. With more than 2 million copies in circulation according to its official Twitter account, more information about the work can be obtained via its official Manga web page here whereas some of its Manga chapters can be read for free in Japanese right here if you are interested to give it a look. At the same time, its Light Novels and Manga are also available in English and is published by Yen Press with the Manga’s 5th and 6th volumes are up for pre-orders and its Light Novels are available up to Volume 4. The series will be having an Anime adaptation set for broadcast on October 5, which is very soon, produced by studio Nexus. If you missed out on its trailer, be sure to watch it down below!

Volume 20 should be able to push out at least more than 35,000 copies if all goes well (including its Limited Edition copies). Serialization for the Manga began in March 2012 in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Superior with more information about the work can be found on its official web page here or its Manga web page here. According to its latest Manga volume product page, the series now has more than 4.5 million copies in circulation. In December 2015, it received its first Anime adaptation by Sunrise and a sequel followed suit in March of 2017.

The KADOKAWA title is serialized in Gundam Ace with more than 2.5 million copies in circulation (Source: Yahoo) since its debut. More about the work can be learned via its official web page here whereas some of its Manga chapters can be read for free in Japanese on Comic Walker right here.
