The weekly Manga sales charts keep looking good with another week of big releases, this time with the entrance of Tokyo Revengers’ latest and 29th volume taking the top spot in its first 5 days. The volume is set to hit around 620,000 copies sold or more if all goes well based on its past performances. Copies sold made great gains after the broadcast of its Anime in April 2021 which is observable from Volume 23 onward. Sales performance for each subsequent volume continued to improve debut-to-debut until Volume 25 when it then recorded less than anticipated 522,222 copies sold for Volume 26 despite it having 4 days of sales, a day longer than Volume 25. Volumes 27 and 28 which are at 3 days of sales on the graph below also reported less copies sold than Volumes 24 and 25, both with 3 days of sales as well. With more than 65 million copies in circulation (Source: Yahoo), further information about the work can be found on its special web page right here. You can also read its Manga chapters for free right here in Japanese while a preview of its 1st volume can be found on Kodansha Comics in English here. LIDENFILMS adapted the work into a 24-episode TV Anime series in April 2021 and a sequel is slated for arrival in January 2023. A video was also released in June this year to promote the sequel Anime title “Seiya Kessen-hen” of which you can watch below.
Skip over to Number 4 and you will find Uma Musume Cinderella Gray Volume 8 in its first 3 days which should allow it to produce approximately 100,000 copies or more in sales. The last time it had 3 days of sales were for Volumes 5 and 6 that sold 115,060 copies and 96,815 copies back in December 2021 and February 2022. The series has been serialised in Shueisha’s Young Jump magazine with more than 4 million copies in circulation (Source: Excite). More information about the work can be found on its official Young Jump page here along with its Manga’s first eight chapters available for reading for free in Japanese. To celebrate the release of its 8th volume, a short video was uploaded to promote it of which you can watch below.
Mokushiroku no Yonkishi Volume 8 is 5th on the list in its first 5 days and is expected to sell close to 50,000 copies or more based on the performance of Volume 4 which sold 45,627 copies in 5 days back in November last year. The work serves as a sequel to Nanatsu no Taizai and focuses on the character Percival. The work, together with Nanatsu no Taizai, has so far amassed more than 37 million copies in circulation (Source: Excite). Some of its chapters can be read for free in Japanese here while the English version can be found on Kodansha Comics with the 1st volume preview is up for reading for free right here. The series will be adapted into a TV Anime series, though its date of broadcast is so far not known. In January this year, two videos were released by Kodansha to promote the title. One of them, Kondo no Teki wa Arthur?! Hen (This Time, The Enemy is Arthur?! Arc) can be watched here while Shounen wa Tabi ni Deru Hen (The Start of a Young Boy’s Journey Arc) can be watched below.

Number 8 places Bakemonogatari Volume 18 in its first 5 days and should be able to push out between 45,000 copies to 50,000 copies sold if all goes well. Next, at Number 9 is Isekai Ojisan Volume 8 in its first 2 days, which may see the volume selling not as impactful as its past two volumes given the short days it has. However, with the Anime adaptation currently being broadcasted this season as of the time of writing, it may just experience a strong start despite the 2 days of sales. The Manga was last seen with Volume 6 at 53,998 copies sold in its first 5 days while Volume 7 was at 43,567 copies sold in its first 7 days. With more than 2 million copies in circulation (Source: Official Website), the work by Hotondo Shindeiru is serialized in Web Comic Apanta with some of its chapters up for free in Japanese right here for you to try out. Yen Press is publishing its volumes officially in English with up to Volume 5 available for grabs. To promote its latest volume, a short promotional video was released by KADOKAWA of which you can watch below.
At Number 10 is Megumi no Daigo: Kyuukoku no Orange Volume 5 in its first 5 days, not its first time on the list as it has made several appearances before with its past volumes. Volume 2 and Volume 4 were charted in their first 4 days at 31,641 copies and 31,549 copies sold respectively while Volume 3 sold 20,444 copies back in October 2021 in its first 3 days. Since the latest volume has a longer day of sales, it is expected to sell more than 35,000 copies. The title is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine and serves as a sequel to the Megumi no Daigo series that serialized between August 1995 and June 1999. With more than 14 million copies in circulation (Source: Product Page), and 400,000 copies alone from that amount for the sequel (Source: Docomo Books), some of its chapters can be read for free right here in Japanese, so do check them out!
