TSUTAYA and COMIC ZIN Weekly Tankoubon Sales Ranking via Natalie: September 28, 2020 to October 4, 2020

An exciting list brings about an exciting new format! Well… it did take awhile though to complete the whole thing, nevertheless I have decided to include more details along with the titles, perhaps this can help readers who are interested in making predictions or would like to have some discussions among their peers can make use of the data to draw conclusions to what we can expect when Oricon releases their weekly ranking. Anyways, thoughts? Do let me know!

Besides, the wonderful lists you see below are all thanks to the amazing folks over at Natalie.mu, so be sure to visit their site here and show them lots of love! The data you found below can be accessed via Natalie.mu’s post here. Let’s not forget to say our thanks to both TSUTAYA and COMIC ZIN for the sources, and be sure to click on their names down below if you are interested in visiting their sites.

It tends to be that Oricon chart will look more alike to the list provided by Tsutaya, and for the week between September 28 to October 4, we see some very interesting titles, one we should not overlook. Kimetsu no Yaiba’s latest volume is at the top of the charts – both Standard and Regular Editions – and with its impending theatrical release this 16th of October, it is hard to make an estimate. However, I am betting on a 2 million plus copies sold for both editions in total, if it is bullish, maybe 2.5 million copies. I made the charts below back in July, it should give an idea what the performance shall look like:

Comparison Chart

In Numbers

As we all have know, sales of the title has exploded ever since last year, though it has somewhat simmered down the past few weeks. Since so many are inclined in buying the entire catalogue every week, we can expect strong sales.

The titles you see in Tsutaya are mostly heavyweight titles, still you may want to draw your attention to number 6, Tite Kubo’s latest original work, Burn the Witch which was recently aired via Crunchyroll. If any of you are interested I shall leave the trailer down below (I haven’t watch it yet, but am interested of doing so):

Competition is stiff for the week with so many good titles released, therefore, it may not be able to sell as well as others. I assuming either 100,000 copies or lower. Anyways list is as follows:

COMIC ZIN has a bunch of titles I have either never seen or heard before. It can be a good list for those who would like to pick up something new to read. 1. Me sorprende que black clover no haya vendido muchos volumes con su anime activo, tal vez las ventas de Demon slayer me cegaron jajajaja. Es normal que un anime le de un “empujón” al manga en ventas ¿No?
