TSUTAYA and COMIC ZIN Weekly Tankoubon Sales Ranking via Natalie: September 14, 2020 to September 20, 2020

We can find new big names continuing on from the prior’s week edition with the release of ONE PIECE’s 97th volume, which I think with no doubt will take the crown for the week between September 14 to September 20. Remember Oricon’s chart is not far off (this Friday) and we will see the total units sold then. Based on previous data, ONE PIECE’s 96th volume debuted March the 30th sold 1,070,591 copies, and volume 97 shall sell more or less the same.

Remember that the data can be found here via Natalie.mu. It is thanks to them that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so visiting their site here is a must! Show them lots of love ya! And one more thing, you can visit TSUTAYA and COMIC ZIN by clicking on their names down below.

Other than ONE PIECE, there is Kingdom which volume 58 sold 420,296 copies in its first week (June 15 to June 21), though sales may be impacted for its 59th volume due to a same time release with ONE PIECE.

If you are interested to pick up something new to read, be sure to check out COMIC ZIN’s chart as there are titles I have never seen before. If there is any on the list you would like to recommend, do drop one in the comment section.

Note that, Natalie.mu listed two titles sitting in at number 9. This may be a typo, but I decided to list Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo in the 10th placing instead – what a long title by the way. Let me know if you find any faults with the list.

    1. Hey! Well, I would love to do it, and have even thought of doing it, but there will be serious lapses with the data. Since Oricon only allows people to publicize the full data if they have a business account (which is very expensive) with them, as of the moment, I can only do the weekly ranking: https://erzat.blog/2020-japan-light-novel-sales-ranking/

The spreadsheet may give you an idea though, so feel free to scrutinize it!

  1. I understand. I checked already all stuffs here and I really liked the site, thank you for taking time each week to share these analyses with us!
