TSUTAYA and COMIC ZIN Weekly Tankoubon Sales Ranking via Natalie: October 18, 2021 to October 24, 2021

The week between October 18 to October 24 will most likely experience a strong Detective Conan seeing it is having a full 7-day of sales. As a result, Volume 100’s position on the chart has improved by four places to see it leading the chart at Number 1 for the week. If all goes well, it may breach the 300,000 copies sold mark.

It is thanks to the wonderful people over Natalie.mu that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis! So, be sure to check their site here and show them lots of love. Plus, all the data you find below is accessible via Natalie.mu right here. Don’t forget to visit sites TSUTAYA and COMIC ZIN down below as these lists would have not been possible if not for them.

The week’s chart witnesses several new releases with Kusuriya no Hitorigoto: Maomao no Koukyuu Nazotoki Techou Volume 12 heading the new batch of volumes at Number 4. Note that its past performance has been quite well as it witnessed consistent sales of around 15,000 copies sold a day on average for Volumes 8, 10 and 11 (Volume 9 failed to rank, but should have seen around 45,000 copies sold). Sales did dip slightly for Volume 11 when compared to Volume 8 and 10 of which both had 3 days sales at the time, the same number of days with the 11th volume. Since Volume 12 will be having a 6-day sales on the chart, expect it to have almost 60,000 copies sold.

At Number 7 is a title you would want to pay attention to. Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. Volume 23 is out and settles in at Number 7 for the week, though I do expect it to sell way better than its past volumes. Both its Anime and Drama adaptations are currently being broadcasted, and the two may serve to boost number of copies sold for the title further. Prior to this, its volumes tend to sell around more than 65,000 copies if it has a full 7-day of sales. Since Volume 23 will have that 1 week advantage, it may see above 80,000 copies sold this time, and if the wind blows its way, we may see it reaching close to 100,000 copies sold.

Then, head over to the edge of TSUTAYA’s list at Number 10 and you will find Hiromu Arakawa’s (who is famously known for the Fullmetal Alchemist Manga) Hyakushou Kizoku Volume 7. The title is currently published via Shinshokan’s Wings magazine. The preview for Volume 1 is available here in Japanese for those who are interested. According to its latest promotional video, the Manga now has 3 million copies in printed circulation.
