TSUTAYA and COMIC ZIN Weekly Tankoubon Sales Ranking via Natalie: November 8, 2021 to November 14, 2021

TSUTAYA’s chart sees a slew of new titles on its list with only Spy x Family Volume 8 and Dr. Stone Volume 23 being  the two out three older releases. The latest volume of Mairimashita! Iruma-kun placed 2nd for the week. With the recent trend of Manga sales slowing down, it is quite hard to predict its actual performance. Based on its past volumes’ performances, it should see copies sold reaching as many as 80,000 given that it will be having 7 days of sales on the charts. Previously, it achieved 81,747 copies sold for Volume 20 which had 7 days of sales, and Volumes 18, 19 and 22 all had above 70,000 copies sold in their first 6 days of sales. If all goes well, it should see a similar turnout to Volume 20.

Following right behind is a related title, Makai no Shuyaku wa Wareware da! Volume 7. As it too will be having a full 7 days of sales, you can expect a strong performance which should see around 90,000 copies sold. Note that Volume 4 did so in its first 7 days of sales, but Volume 2 and Volume 3 hit 89,575 copies and 97,535 copies in just 6 days of sales.

Head over to Number 4, and you will find Tensei Kenja no Isekai Life: Dai-2 no Shokugyou wo Ete, Sekai Saikyou ni Narimashita Volume 14. Seeing it will be having only 4 days of sales, it may not see copies sold as high as Volume 13, which at the time of its release managed to see 62,156 copies sold in its first 5 days of sales. Nevertheless, Volume 14 should be able to sell between 50,000 copies to 60,000 copies based on its past performance.

Next on the list is Tensei shitara Dainana Ouji Datta node, Kimama ni Majutsu wo Kiwamemasu Volume 5. The title has not appeared on Oricon’s Top 30 chart since the start of the site, but it did manage to clinch the 8th spot for Web Manga Category at the Next Manga Awards 2021. The title is an adaptation of the Light Novel of the same name which began publication as a web novel. The Manga is currently being published via Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket of which a number of its chapters are available for free in Japanese.

Then, at Number 7 and 8 are titles you are familiar with, Kumo desu ga, Nani ka? Volume 11 and Kenja no Mago Volume 18. The two received Anime adaptations with Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? quite recently back between January to July of 2021. Kenja no Mago on the other hand, had its adaptation in 2019. Both Manga are adaptations of their respective Light Novels of the same names.

Number 9’s Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru: Jakushou Ryouchi wo Uketsuida node, Yuushuu na Jinzai wo Fuyashiteitara, Saikyou Ryouchi ni Natteta Volume 5 is also a title you may want to pay attention to as it too was placed on The Next Manga Award 2021 list, at 18th for the Web Manga Category. And like Tensei shitara Dainana Ouji Datta node, Kimama ni Majutsu wo Kiwamemasu, it is published via Magazine Pocket, and some of its chapters can be accessed for free in Japanese. So, do check them out!

Finally, Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Itte kara 10-nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita. Volume 7 places 10th on TSUTAYA’s chart after skipping the list the week before. The volume actually sold 20,057 copies placing 16th on Oricon’s Top 30 Manga sales chart between November 1 to November 7. The title made its appearances for Volume 3 at 11th with 45,926 copies sold and Volume 4 at Number 8 with 59,020 copies sold.

As for COMIC ZIN’s chart, you will surely be interested to pick up Q Hayashida’s latest work, Dai Dark. The 4th volume places 1st for the week. The author’s previous work, Dorohedoro was adapted into Anime by studio MAPPA back between January to March of 2020. The title is published through Shogakukan’s Gessan magazine of which its first chapter can be accessed here for free in Japanese.

Jikan Teishi Yuusha Volume 7 is right after. Also known as Time Stop Hero, the Manga is out in the West with its first 3 volumes up for grabs. The title is serialized via the monthly magazine, Shounen Sirius, which some of its chapters can be previewed here for free. At Number 3 is Kekkon suru tte, Hontou desu ka Volume 5 by Tamiki Wakaki who previously worked on the title Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai. The author’s new work can be found Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits magazine with the first chapter accessible here for free in Japanese.

Kamuya Ride Volume 6, a title by Masato Hisa who worked on Nobunagun can be found at Number 6. Publishing through Comic Ran Twins, its first volume can be previewed here for free. Meguro-san wa Hajimete ja Nai Volume 7 by 9℃ is next at Number 7 available through Palcy magazine by Kodansha. You can also find its first 3 chapters available for free right here. Coming in at Number 8 is Fukafuka Dungeon Kouryakuki: Ore no Isekai Tensei Boukentan Volume 6 by KAKERU who has worked on a plethora of titles before this. MAGCOMI is publishing this title of which several of its chapters can be read for free right here in Japanese.

Of course, not to be missed is Number 9’s Amanchu! Volume 17. The title received 24 TV episodes split into two seasons with the first one broadcasted in 2016, while the second in 2018. Between 2016 and 2018, it received an OVA called Amanchu!: Yakusoku no Natsu to Atarashii Omoide no Koto. The series however, has not made any appearances on the Top 30 Oricon sales chart since the site started tracking, though it may do so this time around. That said, this is the final volume of the title, and some of its chapters are out for free in Japanese right here. If you are a fan of the Aria series, you should give the series a try!

Finally, we have Ponkotsu Fuuki Iin to Skirt-take ga Futekisetsu na JK no Hanashi Volume 8. The author Takuma Yokota has worked on a number of titles prior to this including Onanie Master Kurosawa. It is serialized through Shounen Sirius with a couple of its chapters available for reading in Japanese for free. So do give it a try!
