TSUTAYA’s list for the week between June 7 to June 13 still has some titles that made their debuts the week before intact. However, Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Volume 16 was pushed over to number 2 by the release of Shingeki no Kyojin‘s latest and final volume. Volume 34 did turn out great according to some leaks as we will see a significant climb over sales of prior volumes. More will be covered when we release the Oricon Weekly Sales Chart this coming Friday. Of course, we should not forget that MAPPA will take charge of the following Anime sequel to Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season, which is set to commence in Winter 2022. For those looking forward to get the official English release of the volume, note that it will be coming out on the 19th of October, so best place your order soon.

Apart from that, you can find four other new releases on TSUTAYA’s chart for the week. At number 6 is Arslan Senki‘s Volume 15. The title had a good turnout back in December 2020 as sales for Volume 14 reached 107,521 copies sold. Volume 13 had a rough start in its debut week seeing only 61,695 copies sold, but rebounded on Week 2 with 80,017 copies made for the week. As a result, its two week sales were at a strong 141,712 copies sold. The series also received an Anime adaptation back in 2015, a follow-up season came right after in 2016.
Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko had a decent debut week for its 5th volume, released in April 2020, but Volume 6 was nowhere to be seen on Oricon’s Top 30 chart. It should be able to perform better this time around. Furthermore, it was recently announced that the title’s Anime adaptation is set to receive a sequel on an unannounced date (Source: ANN).
Coming in at number 9 is Mairimashita! Iruma-kun‘s Volume 22. Sales were going strong from Volume 16 up to Volume 20, however they have slumped debut-to-debut to 63,609 copies for Volume 21. Since the 2nd season of its Anime is airing right now, we can expect some boost in the number of copies sold. It should be able to hit closer to sales achieved by Volume 18 or Volume 19.

Then, there is Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Itte kara 10-nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita.‘s Volume 6 at number 10. Volume 3 and Volume 4 performed fairly well in the months of March and July 2020 selling 45,926 copies and 59,020 copies respectively. Unfortunately, Volume 5 failed to be placed on Oricon’s Top 30 chart back in December 2020, most likely due to intense competition.

Mokuyoubi no Furutto Volume 9 is among the new releases made unto COMIC ZIN’s chart for the week. This is a work by Masakazu Ishiguro who has worked on titles such as: Nemuru Baka, Kyouko to Tousan, but his most popular has definitely got to be Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru (it was adapted into Anime in 2010). At number 5 is Ayu Hirano’s Radical Hospital Volume 36 and number 6 features the work of Sashimi Akai ‘Tasogare ni Maniaeba: Akai Sashimi Sakuinshuu’.
Though you may want to pay attention to Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon‘s Volume 11 at number 8. The sequel to the Anime adaptation is currently airing and this may allow the title to see better sales for the week as the series has not much luck on Oricon’s Top 30 chart so far since 2020. Do check out the promotional video for its latest season down below:
At number 9 and 10 are Ojousama no Shimobe Volume 9 and Gunshin-chan to Yobanaide Volume 8. If you are familiar with the works of Hoshino Taguchi (such as: Maga-Tsuki and Kanami Ikuseichuu!), you may want to give Ojousama no Shimobe a go.
