Kimetsu no Yaiba completely dominates TSUTAYA’s chart for the week between December 7 to December 13 with all 10 spots belonging to the title. Volume 23 which went on sale December 4, 2020 made a huge impact on Oricon’s chart from November 30 to December 6, nearly 3 million copies of the Standard Edition copies were sold in its first week. The usual trend would suggest that the number should drop the second week, which I believe it will, though sales should still be strong for the title’s latest volume. It will be interesting to see how Jujutsu Kaisen will match up against Kimetsu no Yaiba as it too had a stellar performance the week between November 30 to December 6. All thirteen of its volumes were placed in Oricon’s chart for the week seeing sales reaching as high as 1,002,549 copies.

COMIC ZIN as usual features a colourful troupe of casts with Kaijuu 8-gou leading the way at number 1. The title did considerably well in Oricon’s previous chart (November 30 to December 6) to sell 90,831 copies for its first volume, in its first week!
