TSUTAYA and COMIC ZIN Weekly Tankoubon Sales Ranking via Natalie: April 19, 2021 to April 25, 2021

Titles released the week before are still as heavily present on TSUTAYA’s chart the week between April 19 to April 25. This time around, Kingdom‘s Volume 61 improved eight spots to see itself positioned at number 1. The weak turnout it had the week before is largely due to its volumes going on sale a week earlier. We should see significantly better copies sold for the week.

It is thanks to the wonderful folks over at Natalie.mu that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so be sure to head over to their site here and show them lots of love! All the data you find below is accessible via Natalie.mu right here. Plus, don’t forget to visit sites TSUTAYA and COMIC ZIN by clicking on the their names below as this would not have been possible if not for them!

Nevertheless, TSUTAYA’s Top 10 chart features three new titles for the period between April 19 to April 25, led by Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou‘s Volume 8 at number 6. Note that, its previous volumes had encouraging sales in their first weeks with both Volume 6 and Volume 7 selling over 50,000 copies. Expect the title’s 8th volume to sell around the same. Don’t forget! The title’s Anime adaptation is set to receive a second season in 2022, though there are some changes to the list of staff. Director of the second season will be Akira Iwanaga instead of Kinji Yoshimoto, and White Fox will not be working along with asread for the project. White Fox will be replaced with Studio Mother which handled the in-between animation for Yuru Camp△ Season 2 (Thanks Sakura! Source: ANN), Watch the promotional video released by Overlap here:

At number 7, is Honey Lemon Soda‘s Volume 16. The title has had promising sales with Volume 14 selling as many as 73,216 copies in its first week. Sales for Volume 13 and Volume 15 while not overly impressive is still quite good, hovering above 35,000 copies. Thus, you can expect it to sell a similar amount.

One good news about the title is that it will be receiving a live-action film adaptation this coming summer of 2021 (Thanks Sakura! Source: ANN). The film will be directed by Kouji Shintoku who was involved in the live adaptation of Peach Girl and Honey So Sweet. Check out the trailer right here:

Move a spot to number 8 and you will find Akatsuki no Yona‘s latest volume. The intense competition between Kimetsu no Yaiba and Jujutsu Kaisen did not bode well for Volume 34 last December, as a result, it failed to make onto Oricon’s Top 30 chart at the time. With sales slowing down for Kimetsu no Yaiba and Jujutsu Kaisen, we may once again see it breaching the Top 30. Volume 32 and Volume 33 had debut sales of 81,731 copies and 78,573 copies respectively. Without further ado the full list is as follows:

Yuru Camp△‘s Volume 12 is one of the three titles from the week before that is still on the chart, however it has stumbled nine spots to number 10. The others are Amano Megumi wa Sukidarake!
