Well, here we go! I was thinking of covering this in 2022, since there are not many titles on the chart as Publishers Weekly does not publish a Manga exclusive category, I figured why not just have it up now? Note that all the information you find below is thanks to Publishers Weekly, and all of it can be accessed here (temporarily), so do check it out!
Only six releases made onto the paperback ranking for the week between December 5 to December 11 with four of the releases being new. Note that all of them are Viz Media titles, and all of the new releases have 5 days of sales when charted. The list is led by Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man Volume 8 with 28,669 copies, then at Number 2 is Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 13 at 22,118 copies. Kaiju No. 8 sees a rather great debut at 10,656 copies sold with its 1st volume, and if you have not checked it out, you can do so here via Manga Plus. Head over to Number 5 is One Piece’s Volume 98 with fairly decent sales of 6,897 copies. Remember, that actual numbers should be higher. Without further ado, the full list is as follows:
