Additional Comments

Before delving into the sales of Volume 102, it’s worth noting that One Piece Volume 101 made it onto Publishers Weekly’s trade paper frontlist chart for the week between December 18 and December 24, 2022. According to Publishers Weekly, the new volume sold 13,632 copies, despite being released on December 6, 2022. It’s unclear whether this figure includes sales from December 6 to December 24 or just the first five days of release (the usual number of days for a new Manga on the charts). Assuming that the 13,632 copies sold were for the first five days, Volume 102’s sales of 12,065 copies would indicate an 11.50% decrease from the previous volume. Furthermore, while Volume 102 sold fewer copies than Volume 100, which sold 13,566 copies, it still outperformed Volume 98 and 99 by 74.93% and 38.01%, respectively.
