The month of January did not see that many new releases making their ways onto the Top 20 chart for the period between January 2 and January 29. The 1st place sees the entrance of Kimetsu No Yaiba: Stories of Water and Flame while Dragon Ball Super Volume 15 is seven spots below at Number 8. My Hero Academia Team-Up Missions Volume 2 is 14th, of which it debuted between January 2 and January 8 at 4,056 copies sold in its first 5 days, but failed to chart the week after. Number 20 is the 12th volume of Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun. The volume was released on January 18 and had 8,314 copies sold in 5 days.

It is no surprise to see Kimetsu No Yaiba: Stories of Water and Flame charting at Number 1 for the month as it produced a stellar performance between January 2 to January 29, which it should have placed 1st for four consecutive weeks. For some unknown reason, it was not charted between January 2 and January 8 of which it should have seen 27,083 copies sold in its first 5 days (note that the volume was released on January 4th). Copies sold continued to slow down, however it passed the 50,000 copies sold mark when 8,678 copies were sold between January 23 and January 29.
Chainsaw Man is also here with a great amount of copies sold for its past volumes. Volume 4 has steadily placed on Publishers Weekly’s Trade Paper Frontlist chart continuously for four weeks to see a cumulative 17,038 copies sold. But, it is the 1st volume that saw the best outcome at 31,586 copies.
Dragon Ball Super Volume 15 which comes in at 8th place had a good turnout in its first 5 days at 10,245 copies sold, and between January 9 and January 29, it sold another 9,862 copies, without further ado, the full list is as follows:
