As a result of fans’ demand, producers of the 13-episode Anime series, Odd Taxi have started the “Project Odd Taxi” where a Blu-ray Box of the series would be introduced to the market. Initially, there was no plan for a Blu-ray release for the series, but requests were great and as such, a Blu-ray release was considered.
Odd Taxi Blu-ray pre-orders hitting the 3,000 mark
The number of minimum request was set to at least 300 copies. If it had sold less than the amount, the project would have been shelved. However, that did not happen, instead the Blu-ray Box Set has received 3,000 pre-orders as of today, hence it being officially sold out! Specifications of the Blu-ray Box Set will be upgraded the higher the number of pre-orders go. If you missed out on the series, you can check out its promotional video down below!
Note that the Blu-ray Box Set costs 27,500 yen (~247 USD) and will include several goodies in the package such as: a visual Manga box set, an art book, the original soundtrack, opening and ending videos, English subtitles and many more! Do check it out right here!
Update September 29, 2021: Seems like pre-orders are still ongoing and have reached 4,000 orders!
Update September 30, 2021: Orders have now hit 4,200 copies!
Update October 1, 2021: Orders are closed, pre-orders have reached 5,900 copies!
Update October 1, 2021: Official tally puts it at 6,000 copies of pre-orders!
Update October 1, 2021: Final tally at 6,038 copies!
