On the 17th of July 2019, fans and the public were devastated by the news when one of KyoAni’s studios were involved in an arson attack claiming the lives of 35 people. Although, many are prepared for any setbacks, KyoAni’s upcoming movie appears to be undeterred. According to Violet Evergarden’s official Twitter page, the movie is set to be released as scheduled this coming September 6, 2019.

The movie’s screening shall be limited for three weeks, from September 6 – Septemberr 26, 2019.
