IG Port has announced that Mahoutsukai no Yome Season 2 will be slated for broadcast from April 2023 on their website.
he Manga which is published by its wholly owned subsidiary Mag Garden began its serialization journey on November 30, 2013, by author Kore Yamazaki with more than 10 million copies in circulation as of the second season announcement. In 2016, IG Port announced the start of its Anime adaptation project which soon started its official broadcast in October 2017. An OAD titled Hoshi Matsu Hito preceded the 2017 TV Series, released in episodes of three from September 2016 to September 2017. It also received several other related Anime works such as the ONA, Gakuin-hen in 2019 and Nishi no Shounen to Seiran no Kishi, an OVA that is currently airing slated to end on September 9 this month.

From April 2023, it will air on TOKYO MX and BS11. It will also be available the same day on Prime Video and Hikari TV.

Predicted IG Port Ownership
As for the production committee, IG Port is expected to have a hold of around 50% or more like it did with the OAD. Production I.G is expected to return to handle the bulk of the project’s managerial related activities while Mag Garden will most certainly handle its overall publication. It is very unlikely that Wit Studio will be a part of the production committee. The prior season saw Wit Studio as part of the committee because it handled the Anime production. However, Kafka taking over the OAD project may be the reason why the percentage dropped to 50% for the OAD, so the same will most likely happen here. Since Kafka is part of the Twin Engine group, it will have a hold of around 10% or more of the project. FlyingDog will certainly return to hold some percentage for Music rights, though Sound Team Don Juan may also chip in since both are part of the staff whereas Shochiku may be for packaging like it did for Season 1, though that may change.
