Better sales are reported for hardware week-on-week with most consoles seeing a climb in units sold. The PlayStation 5 Digital Edition marks the highest improvement amongst those on the list as sales are up 29.75% to 2,128 units from previous week’s 1,495 units. The Vanilla Edition however, retreats a small 4.70% at 14,847 units sold. As such, 16,975 units sold in total are made, down from 17,075 unit the week before. Both Switch Lite and PlayStation 5 experience fewer units sold, albeit a narrower change week-on-week.

Software sales chart features several new releases for the week, which is led by latest addition to the Tales Series family, Tales of Arise. Both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the copies make an impactful first week of 151,316 copies and 50,482 copies sold respectively. That should put it at a comfortable 201,798 copies sold in its first week! Note that, the game is also available on PC, hence higher copies sold should be expected. Tales of Arise is certainly a step up from the two latest previous Tales games, and I highly recommend you guys to check it out. Ufotable (Kimetsu no Yaiba, Fate/stay night Movies) is also responsible for some of the animated scenes. If you missed out, or perhaps are interested to see what it is like before jumping in, do check out the promotional video down below!

WarioWare: Get It Together! is another new title released as it trails behind Tales of Arise at Number 2. Sales are at a good 72,277 copies sold. The Switch title consists of 200 quick microgames that can either be played solo or with a friend. To find out more, do check out its trailer below.

At Number 9 is the Ys IX: Monstrum Nox Switch release at 7,324 copies sold. The game was initially released back in September 2019 with debut sales of 45,378 copies made at the time. It is also available on PC and was in fact just released globally in July 2021. Another title to keep an eye out for which features a great cast of characters, plus an engaging story. Do give it a try!

    1. Well, that it is because it is a Switch version release. The PlayStation version was released back in 2019 with pretty decent sales. It is also available on PCs. I think sales should be good.
