A pretty slow week for video games and hardware sold in Japan. Almost all of the hardware recorded a drop in sales with the exceptions of PS4, PS4 Pro and Xbox One S which saw sales climbing for the week between September 21 to September 27 according to Famitsu’s latest report available here. Sales of PS4 machines went up the most amongst the three, almost a 43% jump on a week-to-week basis. In terms of decline, Switch fell the sharpest.

As for video games, familiar faces are pretty much back in the Top 10. Super Mario 3D All-Stars retains its crown, though number of copies sold have plunged nearly 70% from the week before. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics, Pokémon Sword and Shield, Minecraft and Splatoon 2 have all experienced positive growth with Minecraft recording the highest of them all.
