Japan Top Weekly Video Game Ranking: September 18 – September 24, 2023

Hardware sales are up across the board with the exception of Switch Lite which may suggest that the poor overall performance noted a week ago may be due to potential stock shortages. The Xbox Series has gained the largest increase in units sold by 442.40% to 9,058 units from 1,670 units the week before while New 2DS LL experiences the second biggest improvement here by 247.62% to 73 units from 21 units.

Both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles also saw big jumps in total units sold with the latter rising as much as 21.03% to 46,729 units from 38,611 units. PlayStation 4 has noted a much sharper jump in sales compared to its successor of about 83% to 702 units from 383 units. Switch consoles are at a total of 72,590 units sold here, up by 1.41% from 71,578 units.
