A slow week for hardware sales in Japan. The majority of machines registered lower sales week-on-week. PS4 machines have both seen plunges in the number of units sold, PS4 Pro being hit the hardest of the two. Xbox machines experienced a small respite while Switch climbed 21% for the week between October 5 to October 11.

It is a pretty good week for Electronic Arts with modest sales recorded in Japan for its latest FIFA title. Both the PS4 and Switch editions of the game sold 51,142 copies in its first week, placing them at spots number 1 and 6 respectively. Most titles in the Top 10 showed minute growth with Minecraft seeing the biggest rise of the ten titles. Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Pokémon Sword and Shield and Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics all fell for the week. The list is as follows:
