Japan Top Weekly Video Game Ranking: October 31 – November 6, 2022

Switch consoles showed a major sign of recovery from its low performance a week ago as total units sold went up by 134.19% from 38,634 to 90,478, much of it was contributed by its OLED edition that rose 220.08% week-on-week to 74,895 units. PlayStation 5 settled down after several weeks of growth, this time, total units sold receded by 65.85% to settle at 13,274 units as both consoles experienced weaker sales from the week before. The Xbox Series too is down for the week, but not as much as PlayStation 5. Total units sold took a 15.27% hit to settle at 3,113 units from the 3,674 units sold the prior week. PlayStation 4 at 257 units sold is the biggest gainer here with sales improving a whopping 2236.36% from last week’s 11 units. New 2DS LL went down 44.64% to 31 units from 56 units.

The Top 10 software sales chart saw two new releases with 2nd placed Harvestella edging out the other at 26,644 copies sold in its first 3 days. The latest lifestyle simulation role-playing video game is published by Square Enix and developed by Live Wire with a release also available on PC. In this game, players as the protagonist can explore a fantasy world with varying seasons, take care of their crops, interact with the locals, fight the bad guys and unravel the mystery of the world (Source: Wikia). Then, at Number 3 you will find DORAEMON STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of the Great Kingdom at 11,278 copies sold in its first 5 days. Like the previous title, Doraemon Story of Seasons that was released on June 13, 2019, in this game, Nobita, Doraemon and their friends found themselves transported to a different place. You can farm, harvest and tend to animals, interact with your friends and play with the locals throughout the game (Source: Wikia).
