Switch consoles recorded better sales for the week between October 17 and October 23 thanks to its OLED model which saw a rise of 57.16% week-on-week to 38,079 units, putting total units sold at 54,637, a 26.10% improvement over previous week’s 43,329 units. PlayStation 5 has also reported a decent increase in sales at 28,661 units which is 41.21% more than the week before whereas the Xbox Series climbed by a small 17.09% to 4,158 units. PlayStation 4 went up by 18.18% to 13 units, but New 2DS LL fell by nearly 50% to 57 units.

As for software, there are three new releases here on the Top 10 led by the re-release of Persona 5 Royal on the Switch console at quite a good start of 45,998 units sold in its first 3 days. You can also find its PlayStation 5 edition at Number 9 at 5,051 copies sold, and as such, total sales for the two versions combined were at 51,049 copies. Note that the newly ported version is also available on Xbox Series and PC. If you want to compare, the Persona 5 Royal’s PlayStation 4 edition that was initially released back in October 2019 at 201,448 copies in its first 4 days. Then, we have Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher at Number 3 at 24,069 copies sold in its first 4 days. The Switch exclusive title is a crossover between the Ultraman series and the Monster Rancher series that will feature over 200 Kaiju (Source: Wikia). Finally, we have Dragon Quest X All-in-One Package version 1 – 6 at Number 10 with 5,015 copies sold in its first 4 days. Note that the package was last seen for Version 1 – 5 back in May 2020 which at the time, it had a lifetime sale of 10,385 copies.
