The Switch consoles’ total sales have moved up 6.28% week-over-week to close at 66,161 units sold from 62,250 units, and with the slowdown in sales for the PlayStation 5 consoles, which noted a significant drop of 70.21% over previous week’s 9,844 units to 2,933 units, allowed Switch to dominate the market share for the week by a staggering 90.1%.
The Xbox Series improved by 20.12% over last week’s 2,748 units, its third consecutive rise, to see a total of 3,301 units sold for the week. PlayStation 4 and New 2DS LL fell by 29.99% and 14.81% to settle at 1,006 units and 23 units sold for the week respectively.

There is only one new release on the Top 10 software sales chart for the week with Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection‘s Switch and PlayStation 5 editions sitting side by side at Number 2 and Number 3 at a total of 33,047 copies sold in their first six days. The release is a compilation of Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
