Japan Top Weekly Video Game Ranking: November 30, 2020 to December 6, 2020

New consoles have seen sales dropping for the week between November 30 to November 6. Both PS5 and Xbox Series machines have seen number of units sold dropped sharply with the vanilla edition of PS5 and Xbox Series S taking the hardest hits. The two fell more than 70% for the week. Sales of Nintendo Switch machines were contrary as the two posted decent climb, settling at 167,088 units for Switch and 37,534 units for Switch Lite.

Sales of video games software were more on the greener side. Four new titles made their appearance for the week, at number 4 and 6 belong to Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy. The title managed 74,630 copies sold for both its PS4 and Switch editions in Japan. At number 2 is Derby Stallion. DRAGON QUEST XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition is at number 7 while Densha de GO!! Hashirou Yamanote-Sen is at 10.

Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! stumble slightly, but maintained its number 1 spot and sales were still above 100,000 copies. Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Ring Fit Adventure and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are all up. Zelda Musou: Apocalypse of Disaster on the other hand, has seen sales plunged 42% for the week.
