Japan Top Weekly Video Game Ranking: November 21 – November 27, 2022

Video Game hardware sales continued its strong run as it ended the week between November 21 and 27 with most consoles up week-on-week. Despite the drag with Switch Lite and OLED editions, the Nintendo heavyweights still managed to close at a total 156,127 units, down by 8.53% from the week before. PlayStation 5 climbed by 59.83% to 50,920 units whereas the Xbox Series powered through the week with a significant jump in units sold by 681.86% to 11,939 units. PlayStation 4 slipped down by 61.74% after a strong showing the prior week whereas New 2DS LL gained 91.18% in units sold to 65.

All software were up in copies sold mainly due to the week coinciding with the Black Friday event. Last week’s champion, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was the only one to suffer a drop in sales on the Top 10, nevertheless, it still saw a strong turnout of 577,279 units sold. If the title keeps up with at least another 350,000 copies sold or more the week after (which it may very well do), it can overtake Splatoon 3. Without further ado, the full list is as follows:
