Japan Top Weekly Video Game Ranking: November 15, 2021 to November 21, 2021

Sales of PlayStation 5 consoles continued to worsen as it hit a new low of a total 4,307 units sold for the week, down 12.28% from the previous week’s 4,910 units. This is most likely due to component and logistics constraints that SONY is currently facing, and as such causing the company to slash its PlayStation 5 production outlook for this fiscal year (Source: Bloomberg). Xbox Series on the other hand has climbed from the week before to 3,422 units sold while Nintendo reached a massive 167,778 units sold thanks to upbeat sales of its OLED edition which reported a massive jump of 65.54% week-on-week. PlayStation 4, like its successor, staggered as sales plummeted 86.56% to only 188 units sold for the week.
