Two lists in a row! After last week’s skip, this was to be expected. Anyways, Famitsu has updated their site with the latest chart available here. Note that, I will be making a separate post detailing the sales of hardware as Famitsu included 2 two weeks worth of data in their post. It should be up momentarily.

As the previous post, Animal Crossing is relentless with its momentum. Sales have gone beyond 4 million copies sold in Japan and Golden Week did nothing to stop its flow (Golden Week is a term for a long holiday which occurs in late April to early May in Japan). However, for the week between May 4 to May 10, the title has seen a bigger drop compare to the week before. This time, sales have plunged by about 25% whereas the week before, it only dropped by around 8%. It is not only Animal Crossing has which experienced a drop in sales, Ring Fit Adventure and Final Fantasy VII Remake have also stumbled for the week. The worse hit would be the Switch version of Trials of Mana. After falling nearly 82% the week before, it stumbled 22 places to number 30 for the week from number 8 the previous week. Sales have dropped by 83% for the title. Nevertheless, the PS4 version is still hanging on to the top 10, but sales have decreased by almost 47%.
Splatoon, Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training and Minecraft are the only ones which experienced a rise in sales in the top 10. The full top 30 list, is as follows:
