Sales for Video Game consoles opened with a mixed result the week between May 31 to June 6 as PlayStation 5 machines, Xbox Series X, and New 2DS LL have fallen week-on-week while Switch machines, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation 4 have recorded a climb. Xbox Series S jumped the most of the lot by 45.07% to see it ended the week with 284 units sold. PS5 Digital Edition succumbed the hardest with sales dropping as much as 64.78%.

Sales of Video Game software mirrors that of the consoles as the chart features five titles reporting lower sales week-on-week, at the same time another five reported an increase in sales. Copies sold for Minecraft (No. 4) grew 0.45% as it edges closer to 2 million copies sold in Japan. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury (No. 6) on the other hand, experienced a 12.54% improvement over last week to 9,818 copies. Both Rune Factory 5 (No. 9) and Resident Evil Village (No. 10) stumbled four and three places respectively as the two witnessed a reduction of sales by 50.03% and 39.97% week-on-week, the two biggest declines among the Top 10 titles.
