Both the PlayStation 5 editions experienced better week-on-week performance the week between May 17 to May 23 as cumulative sales reached 16,264 units compared to the 14,044 units it sold the week before. The week also saw sales of Xbox Series S and the PlayStation 4 recording stronger sales while Switch machines, Xbox Series X and New 2DS LL have all recorded a drop.

Software on the other hand, reported mixed results with better sales week-on-week for titles such as: Ring Fit Adventure and Minecraft while Monster Hunter Rise, Resident Evil Village, Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban!, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury and New Pokémon Snap are down for the week. The chart is supplemented with the addition of new releases that provided much of a boost to the overall week’s performance. One of such addition belongs to Rune Factory 5 which debuted at a healthy 102,853 copies sold. Right after that, you will find Miitopia at number 2. Note that the title was first developed for Nintendo 3DS and was released back in 2016 in Japan. It was then released worldwide in 2017. This version is the remastered edition of the same game. Angelique Luminarise is another new title that was released that week, stealing the 6th spot, the otome dating game debuted at 12,844 copies sold.
