Units sold for Switch consoles maintain in the 80,000 range with sales of its OLED edition sliding by 11.92% as units sold dip below 50,000 units. Its Switch Vanilla and Lite editions, however, have climbed 12.02% and 17.89% after a weaker turnout the week before. It is all green for PlayStation 5 consoles with the Vanilla version rising as much as 56.83% to 32,364 units while the Digital Edition has grown by a small 3.63%, together the two have sold 35,474 units for the week. A sharp fall is noted for both Xbox Series consoles with Series X as the two suffer the worst drop for the week. Units sold are at a meagre 390 units. PlayStation 4 is up by 23.08% from prior week’s 10 units sold whereas New 2DS LL stumbles by 2.44% to 280 units sold.

Software sales witness two new releases in the Top 10 with Hoshi no Kirby Discovery (also known as Kirby and the Forgotten Land in English) taking the top spot at a whopping 380,060 copies sold in just 3 days. The Nintendo Switch exclusive game was developed by HAL Laboratory and was first announced on September 23, 2021. The game is the series’ first 3D action platformer with controls similar to that of Kirby 3D Rumble, Kirby’s Blowout Blast, and Kirby Battle Royale (Source: Wikia). The other new release on the Top 10 belongs to Ghostwire: Tokyo with its PlayStation 5 edition placing 6th at 10,144 copies sold in its first 3 days. The supernatural thriller action-adventure game is developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks. In the game, you play as Akito who one day wakes up in the streets of Tokyo only to find that the city’s population has suddenly vanished. It turns out that the city is taken over by paranormal spirits, and Akito will have to battle his way out and find the cause of the problem that has befallen the city (Source: Wikia).
