Hardware sales for most consoles experience a retreat from the week before with Switch dipping below the 90,000 units sold mark, down by 12.98% from 98,246 units. PlayStation 5 is up for its Digital Edition by 49.22% to 2,997 units, but it is the opposite for its Vanilla Edition which sees a small drop of 5.37% to 13,971 units, putting its total sales for the week at 16,968 units sold. A major rise is reported for Xbox Series X, climbing by as much as 87.26% whereas Series S noted a sharp decline by 61.08%. Both PlayStation 4 and New 2DS LL are weaker by 37.50% and 37.74% respectively.

Software sales are mostly down for past titles with the PlayStation 4 version of Gran Turismo 7 noting the biggest fall while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe improves by 18.91% to 16,078 copies sold for the week as its lifetime sales approaches 4.5 million copies in Japan.
The Top 10 list also presents one new release belonging to Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin which occupies the 1st and 4th spots for the week. The PlayStation edition of the game sold a total of 46,849 copies in its first 3 days. The game is also out worldwide and on other platforms too such as the Xbox One and Xbox Series, including on PC through Epic Games Store. Developed by Koei Tecmo Games and Team Ninja, the game is a spin-off title of the franchise, mainly Final Fantasy’s World A where you play as Jack and his companions.
