Japan Top Weekly Video Game Ranking: July 13, 2020 to July 19, 2020

Ghost of Tsushima registered a strong opening week in Japan as it sold 212,915 copies for the week between July 13 to July 19 according to Famitsu here. Following closely behind is another new title, Paper Mario: The Origami King, remade for the Nintendo Switch. At number 9 you will find Futari De! Nyanko Daisensou, which is also debuting for the week.

As for sales of hardware, things have improved week-on-week with the biggest climb being the PS4 machine. It saw roughly 45% more units sold for the week. Xbox One S reported the steepest plunge after succumbing more than 45% drop in sales. Switch Lite and PS4 Pro are the other two that have experienced a decline while the rest have shown relatively better sales compared to the prior week.
