Hardware sales have calmed down after ending the month of January on a strong note. Number of units sold for hardware have dropped across the board with the exception of New 2DS LL, which climbed almost 30% for the week at 824 units sold. Sales of PS5 Digital Edition and Xbox Series X fell sharply by around 80% each while Xbox Series S witnessed a 61.27 plunge in sales week-to-week. Other than that, Sales of Switch’s vanilla edition crossed the 15 million mark, together with its Lite edition, the hardware has an accumulated lifetime sales of 18,304,248 units.

Likewise, sales of video game software continue to slow down for most titles with only two seeing positive growth week-on-week. At number 4, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is up by 1.11% whereas Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (No. 5) saw a much larger increase, with 6.81% improve in sales week-on-week. Sales of Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! continues to decline after a surge from January 11 to January 17. This marks the third week of contraction for the title.
