First off, Famitsu has published a two-week period of the hardware and software sold in Japan between August 3 to August 16. Therefore, in this post, there will be no week-to-week percentage difference for sales of hardware. I will be making separate posts for August 3 to August 9 and August 10 to August 16 for sales of video games, they will include the week-to-week comparison.
Besides, it is thanks to the amazing folks over at Famitsu that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so please be sure to head over to their site here and show them lots of love!
Although it is hard to tell the performance this time around for sales of hardware in Japan, Switch has certainly climbed quite significantly in the span of two weeks. Ring Fit Adventure is 2nd while Ghost of Tsushima is 3rd, the title crossed the 300,000 copies sold mark during the two-week period. The strong drive in sales may be due to the Obon holiday period.
