Sales are down for most consoles week-on-week with Nintendo Switch vanilla experiencing the biggest drop of 15.73% from previous week’s 62,022 units. The Lite edition however, sees sales recuperating 2.42% to 10,766 units, bringing the total units sold for the two consoles at 63,254 units. The PlayStation 5 faces the opposite where the vanilla edition being the one rising whereas the Digital Edition falling 9.90% week-on-week. Total units sold for both versions stand at 20,154 units sold. Furthermore, the consoles lifetime sales together have now reached 995,581 units, and is set to breach the 1 million mark the following week. Both Xbox Series editions slide 2.86% and 1.02% respectively week-on-week as they end the last week of August with 5,669 units sold. Climbing 54.38% week-on-week, PlayStation 4 records a total of 2,067 units sold from previous week’s 943 units while New 2DS LL stumbles yet again as sales retreat 2.49% to 509 units.

Software sales do not look so good for past titles as all have recorded a drop in the Top 10 with the exception of Pokémon Sword and Shield, which sales have improved 13.83% as it jumps three spots to claim the 10th spot. The biggest drop for titles on the Top 10 belongs to Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Saikyou Battle Royale!! which sales have plummeted by 43.31% as it ends the week with 9,491 copies sold. Nevertheless, its lifetime sales have now hit 122,530 copies.
TYPE-MOON’s latest visual novel, Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon which is a remake of the two Near-Side Routes of the Tsukihime doujin work which was released back in the year 2000, places 1st and 2nd at a great 138,408 copies sold! Three years later, the title was adapted into an Anime series by J.C. Staff and Geneon (now NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan), and a Manga adaption it received ran from August 2003 to July 2010. TYPE-MOON recently released the opening animation of the visual novel done by ufotable through its Youtube channel. If you have not watched it, you should do so down below!
No More Heroes III by Marvelous is another new title that can be found on the list at Number 9, though with a certainly lackluster first week performance at 7,951 copies sold. Without further ado, the full list is as follows:
