Due to the Golden Week celebration the week before, the separated charts between April 25 and May 1, and May 2 and May 8 will be out tomorrow for software, but for hardware, we will only get the two-week sales that occurred between April 25 and May 8. As such, there will be no week-to-week comparison this time around while the week-to-week comparison will be done for software tomorrow when the charts are out.
As for sales of hardware, the 14 days that ran between April 25 and May 8 sees a total of 176,592 units of Switch consoles being sold with OLED leading the trio at 101,489 units, accounting for 57.47% of the total sales. The PlayStation 5 consoles sold 49,798 units in total for the two-week period while the PlayStation 4 vanilla console remained low at 81 units. The Xbox Series witnessed 14,118 units sold for both its available consoles as the two slowly approached the 100,000 units sold each, which should be achievable the following week. Then, we have New 2DS LL at 452 units sold, a rather weak turnout considering it having two weeks of sales.
It is thanks to the wonderful people over at Famitsu that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so be sure to head over to their site here and show them lots of love! In addition, all the data you find below is accessible via Famitsu right here.
