Japan Top Weekly Video Game Ranking: April 24 – April 30, 2023

The software sales chart for the week of April 24 to April 30 showed a boost in sales for past releases as Japan entered its holiday season, known as “Golden Week” from April 29 to May 5 with several new releases made their way into the Top 30.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes the top spot with 12,884 copies sold in its first four days, which is considered a slow start for a game of its stature. The game is a sequel to the 2019 title and is also available on other platforms such as the Xbox Series and PC.

At number 5, Yahari Game demo Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. Kan, the sequel to Yahari Game demo Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. Zoku (released in 2016), made its debut with 8,143 copies sold for the Switch edition, while the PS4 edition can be found at number 12 with 4,934 copies sold. In total, the game sold 13,077 copies in its first four days.

At number 7 is Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana, which sold 6,920 copies in its first four days. This is the Switch port of the 2010 PSP edition of the game, featuring new visuals with HD remastered graphics and sounds, as well as the ability to switch between three sound settings, fully voiced event scenes, and high-speed mode.

Additionally, Temirana Koku no Tsuiteruhime to Tsuitenaikishidan takes the 16th spot with 3,424 copies sold in four days, while Afterimage [Deluxe Edition] settled for 28th place with 1,969 copies sold for its Switch edition in its first four days.
