MF Ghost takes the 2nd spot for the week between September 5 and September 11 at 64,159 copies sold in its first 6 days which is only a small improvement of 2.17% over the 4-day sales of Volume 11 and 11.40% less than the 72,417 copies sold it had for Volume 10 in its first 5 days. MF Ghost is worked on by the same author of Initial D, Shuuichi Shigeno and has been in serialization since September 2017 through Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine with more information about the title can be found on its official web page here including its first Manga chapter in Japanese. According to the same page, the series has passed 3.6 million copies in circulation. The series is expecting a TV Anime series adaptation by Felix Film to happen in 2023, though the exact date of the broadcast is not yet known. In the meantime, you can watch its latest teaser video down below in case you missed it.
Coming in at Number 3 is Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko Volume 9 at 60,065 copies sold in its first 5 days, lower than its previous two volumes amid shorter days of sales. Note that Volumes 7 and 8 you see in the graph below were charted at 7 days of sales. Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko is the adaptation of the Light Novel of the same name that is serialized in Square Enix’s Manga UP! with more information about the work attainable via its official web page here. You can also read some of its chapters in Japanese on the same page. In October 2020, Maho Film adapted the work into a 12-episode TV Anime series with a sequel planned for broadcast on an unannounced date. According to its official Anime website, the series has so far more than 1.6 million copies in circulation.

Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou sareta Beast Tamer, Saikyoushu no Nekomimi Shoujo to Deau Volume 7 is placed right below at Number 4 with 43,179 copies sold in its first 5 days, 8.61% and 12.40% fewer copies sold than Volumes 4 and 5 (both in their first 5 days as well). Its 6th volume on the other hand, would have sold more had it been a day longer. The volume was charted at 41,537 copies sold in its first 4 days back in October 2021. Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou sareta Beast Tamer, Saikyoushu no Nekomimi Shoujo to Deau first began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou back in June 2018 and was then officially published by Kodansha in May 2019. Before its official Light Novel release, it received its Manga adaptation in January 2019. Further information about the work can be obtained on its official web page here and its first chapter is available for reading for free right here if you would like to check it out. According to Kodansha, the series has more than 1 million copies in circulation as of its 6th Light Novel volume. The title is set to receive a TV Anime series adaptation by EMT Squared which will soon begin its broadcast on October 2. If you missed out on its Anime adaptation’s promotional video, you can watch it below!
At Number 7, you will find Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! Volume 9 at 37,427 copies sold in its first 3 days, which is its third consecutive drop among its volumes with 3 days of sales. The latest volume’s performance is only 3.09% weaker than Volume 2’s 38,622 copies sold, but the gap widened to 39.18% and 23.29% against Volumes 4 and 7. Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! is a Manga series that is worked on by author Take which has been in serialization since December 2017. It can be found in KADOKAWA’s Dra-Dra-Dragon Age magazine with more information about it can be learned from its official web page here. At the same time, you can read some of its chapters for free in Japanese here. Note that Seven Seas is also releasing its volumes officially in English with up to Volume 8 available for purchase as of the time of writing. According to a post on its official Twitter account, the Manga now has more than 2 million copies in circulation including digital. Studio ENGI (KADOKAWA owns it by 53.0%) adapted the work into a 12-episode TV Anime series in July 2020 with a follow up season planned for broadcast this October 1st. It is thanks to the amazing folks over at Oricon that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so be sure to head over to their site here and show them lots of love! In addition, all the data you find below is accessible via Oricon right here (Manga) and here (Series). If Google charts are what you prefer, you can find their respective links to the charts at the bottom of the post. Many of the titles that you see below have been discussed in the TSUTAYA’s sales chart for the same week, so do have a look at it right here. Some titles that did not make it onto the Top 30 chart were also discussed in the COMIC ZIN’s chart here.
Then, Mahoutsukai no Yome Volume 18’s Regular Edition makes its debut at 36,365 copies sold in its first 3 days whereas the Limited Edition failed to chart on the Top 30 and the Top 50. The cutoff point on the Top 50 chart for the week is 12,000 copies, and as such, we can strongly surmise that its Limited Edition would have sold less than that. Consequently, the graph presented below omits the Limited Edition copies sold which would have increased the total to more than 40,000 copies if it were to be included. When put up against other volumes, sales still indicate a decline, however, note that Oricon tracks only physical sales performances. IG Port, the parent company to Mag Garden revealed in its FY2022 filings that the publishing company sold more Manga digitally than it did physically, therefore the consistent drop you see here does not represent the actual performance of the series. For FY2022, Mag Garden’s digital sales made up 67% of its total sales. Mahoutsukai no Yome is a work by Kore Yamazaki which has been in serialization since November 2013. It can be found in Comic Garden with more information about the title can be discovered here via its official web page. You can also read its first chapter for free in Japanese right here. Official English releases are also available with Volume 16 up for pre-order and bound for release this coming October the 25th. In October 2017, Wit Studio (which is owned by IG Port by 66.7%) adapted the work into a 24-episode TV Anime series but will not return to animate its planned sequel which is set to broadcast from April 2023. Instead, the project will be handed over to Twin Engine’s Studio Kafka. According to its latest Anime season’s teaser trailer (of which you can watch below), the series has passed 10 million copies in circulation.
Isekai Kenja no Tensei Musou: Game no Chishiki de Isekai Saikyou makes its presence known at Number 10 with its 6th volume at 33,843 copies sold in its first 5 days, a 20.19% fall from Volume 4’s 42,407 copies sold in its first 5 days. Isekai Kenja no Tensei Musou: Game no Chishiki de Isekai Saikyou initially began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou on September 29, 2018. It was later officially released as a Light Novel by SB Creative in April 2019. In October the same year the Light Novel was released, it was adapted into Manga by artist Sanjuu Sanjuu which is serialized in Square Enix’s Manga UP! More information about the title can be found on its official web page here along with its first Manga chapter in Japanese.

The Manga was last seen with its two prior volumes at 41,766 copies sold for Volume 18 in its first 6 days and 38,678 copies sold for Volume 19 in its first 4 days. Kenja no Mago first started its journey as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou on January 2, 2015. The same year, KADOKAWA officially released the first compiled Light Novel volume in July. It was then serialized as a Manga in March 2016 in Young Ace UP by artist Ogata Shunsuke. More about the work can be learned on its official web page here, and if you are interested to give its Manga a try, its first chapter can be read for free right here in Japanese. In April 2019, SILVER LINK. adapted the work into a 12-episode TV Anime series. According to its latest Manga volume cover, the series has now more than 7 million copies in circulation including digital. You can also watch a short video released by KADOKAWA four years ago to promote the series below.
At Number 17 is Baki-dou Volume 14 at 22,377 copies sold in its first 4 days, its first ever appearance on Oricon’s Top 30 sales chart since the Blog started tracking. Tougen Anki Volume 11 is 18th on the list at 21,431 copies sold in its first 4 days. The series was last seen with its 9th volume back in May, but on the week after and not in its first 3 days. The series has been in serialization since July 2019 and can be found in KADOKAWA’s Young Ace UP with more information about it can be found here via its official web page. In addition to that, you can read some of its chapters for free on the same page, though click here if you would like to try out its first chapter in Japanese. According to the latest volume cover, the series has passed 550,000 copies in circulation including digital and 1.2 million single chapter downloads. In January this year, KADOKAWA also released a short video to promote the series featuring voice actress Reina Ueda.
Madougushi Dahlia wa Utsumukanai: Dahliya Wilts No More Volume 5 is 23rd at 19,196 copies sold in its first 3 days, its second appearance on Oricon Top 30 after making its Volume 4 debut back in October last year at 25,703 copies in its first 7 days. Note that since this series belongs to Mag Garden, you can assume that its actual series sales would be much stronger than this if digital copies were to be included as Mag Garden sells more digital volumes than physical volumes. The work adapts the Light Novel of the same name under the publisher’s MF Books label which was first published in October 2018. The Manga is worked on by artist Megumi Sumikawa and is serialized in MAGCOMI with more information about it available on its official web page here. Topping the weekly series chart for the week is Tomodachi Game at 288.99 million yen (≈2.02 million USD) thanks to great success of its Music segment which saw the single, Trust Me, Trust You. sung by the five-member Japanese boy band Sexy Zone leading Oricon’s single chart at a whopping 212,527 copies sold in its first 5 days (Source: Single Chart). Note that the song is the official theme song of the live-action adaptation of the Manga, Tomodachi Games: R4 which started its broadcast back in July 23 this year. If you are interested in the song, feel free to head over to YouTube and listen to it right here. Sales from its Video and Manga were also considered here.
At Number 2 and 3 we have Haikyuu!! and One Piece both dropping a spot each from their previous week’s positions. Haikyuu!! outpaces One Piece to bring in 243.27 million yen (≈1.70 million USD) in sales for the week as it takes the 2nd spot, a 72.12% drop whereas One Piece has noted a small fall of 25.55% to 159.48 million yen (≈1.11 million USD). Nevertheless, this would be One Piece’s sixth consecutive appearance on the weekly series sales charts with a total of 2,365.92 million yen (≈16.51 million USD) in sales between August 1 and September 11. Both series take into account sales of their Video, Music, Book, Novel and Manga segments with Manga being the highest contributor of sales.
