Japan Top Weekly Manga Sales Ranking: September 18 – September 24, 2023

When compared to its past volumes with three days of sales, the Regular Edition of Uchuu Kyoudai has performed poorly by 31.25% and 21.34% against Volume 36 and Volume 37. Note that the Special Edition did not make it onto Oricon’s Top 30 nor Top 50 lists for the week, and it is unclear if it is even in the lower rank of 51 to 100. With the cutoff point on the Top 50 being at about 10,000 copies, if it does chart, it may have sold about that amount which is still less than the two aforementioned volumes in their first three days.

The series welcomed a 99-episode Anime TV series adaptation by A-1 Pictures back in April 2012.

The latest outcome of Uma Musume Cinderella Gray volume has stabilised the series’ overall recent performance when compared to its last—Volume 11 made its debut with 82,147 copies sold in its first week. This is still far from the huge turnouts noted for its past volumes, such as the 148,572 copies and 115,060 copies sold for Volume 4 and Volume 5 in their first five days and three days respectively. If the series maintains its momentum here for Volume 13, this may very well be its foothold for the next upcoming volumes with a major rise rivaling its past performances may unlikely to happen.

There are no direct comparisons against Volume 10 among its past volumes for Isekai Ojisan, however, sales have slightly fluctuated with a hint of an increase noted from Volume 8 onwards (very likely as a result of its Anime’s adaptation which aired from July 6, 2022). The improvement in sales can also be seen between the five-day sales of Volume 9 and Volume 6 of which the first sold 8.13% more than the latter.

AtelierPontdarc adapted the work into a TV Anime series that ended its broadcast on March 8, 2023 after multiple delays.

There are no direct comparisons against Choujin X Volume 7 in its first six days, however, the series is definitely experiencing a decline in copies sold against its past volumes. For instance, the three-day sales of Volume 1 was at 33,113 copies back in December 2021 whereas the five-day and four-day sales of Volume 3 and Volume 5 registered 43,779 copies and 36,800 copies sold respectively in May 2022 and January 2023.

Kindaichi 37-sai no Jikenbo Volume 14 has noted a significant fall of 34.11% in copies sold against Volume 9’s 40,427 copies, both volumes in their first three days. This may very likely be the series weakest debut so far since its 9th volume with stronger outcomes seen with the four-day sales of Volume 11 and Volume 12. That said, there is still a chance that copies sold may rebound the week after and stabilise the series’ overall performance.

The series is a direct sequel to Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo Returns which was serialized from November 27, 2013 to October 18, 2017.

Mix Volume 21 has reached 106,406 copies sold in its first 13 days.

Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou! was last seen with its 11th and 12th volumes at 34,180 copies and 34,380 copies sold respectively in their first week back in May 2022 and January 2023.

In April 2020, the series received a 12-episode TV Anime series adaptation by studios SynergySP and Shin-Ei Animation that ended its broadcast in June the same year.

Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 23 has reached 1,321,845 copies sold within its first 83 days.

Kanojo, Okarishimasu Volume 33 has sold 43,587 copies in its first 11 days.

This is Sekai Saikyou no Kouei: Meikyuukoku no Shinjin Tansakusha‘s first ever Manga appearance on Oricon’s Top 30 sales chart. The series was last seen with its Light Novel’s 8th volume on Oricon’s list with 4,870 copies sold in its first five days between November 8, 2021 to November 14, 2021.

Kuro Hakubutsukan: Mikazuki yo, Kaibutsu to Odore last made an appearance on Oricon’s Top 30 sales chart with its 2nd and 3rd volumes at 24,088 copies and 18,421 copies sold their first six days and four days respectively. The series failed to chart on any of the lists the Blog tracks for Volume 3.
