Japan Top Weekly Manga Sales Ranking: March 20 – March 26, 2023

Despite the inclusion of Special Edition copies in Volume 18, Shuumatsu no Walküre experienced a significant drop in debut sales of 30.99% and 26.25% compared to Volume 13 and 15, respectively. However, it still outperformed Volume 6 by 18.71% (before the first Anime season aired). When compared to newer volumes such as the 6-day sales performances of Volume 16 and 17, the latest volume’s sales figures were not as strong as the previous two volumes. These results suggest a downward trend in the series’ sales performance.

The Special Edition of the volume comes with a collection of character settings and is priced at 1,100 yen (≈8 USD).

The series was also adapted into a 12-episode ONA in June 2021 by studio Graphinica with a sequel season being broadcasted as of the time of writing.

The volume has sold 279,491 copies in its first 11 days.

Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 22 has sold 1,118,171 copies in its first 24 days.

The series was last seen on COMIC ZIN’s list with its 2^nd volume back in June 2022.

The work was last seen with Volume 48 at 64,914 copies sold in its first 7 days.

The Manga was also adapted into a 25-episode TV Anime series by Hal Film Maker in 2008.

One Piece Volume 105 has sold 1,600,577 copies in its first 24 days.

The Regular Edition of the volume has sold 208,530 copies in its first 11 days.

Compared to its predecessor, Isekai Ojisan Volume 9 saw an 8.13% increase in debut sales during its first 5 days, surpassing Volume 7 which sold 43,567 copies during its first 7 days (before the Anime was broadcast). The series was also seen with Volume 8 at 36,296 copies sold in its first 2 days. These results suggest that the Anime TV adaptation has had a positive impact on the series.

AtelierPontdarc adapted the work into a TV Anime series that ended its broadcast on March 8, 2023 after multiple delays.

Uma Musume Cinderella Gray Volume 10 has sold 104,574 copies in its first 10 days.

Compared to its other volumes with 3 days of sales, Honey Lemon Soda‘s latest and 22nd volume had its weakest performance since Volume 16. It sold 23.10%, 21.14%, and 3.30% fewer copies than Volume 16, 19, and 21, respectively.

In 2021, it was adapted into a live-action film which starred Murakami Raul Maito and Yoshikawa Ai.

“Oshi no Ko” Volume 11 has achieved 93,473 copies sold in its first 10 days.

This is the work’s first ever appearance on Top 30 sales chart.

Kaijuu 8-gou Volume 9 has achieved 383,579 copies sold in its first 24 days.

Colette wa Shinu Koto ni Shita: Megami-hen is the sequel title to the Colette wa Shinu Koto ni Shita series that was published from November 2013 to October 2021. Megami-hen ended its serialization on October 26, 2022, spanning five chapters.

Kinnikuman Volume 81 has sold 62,989 copies in its first 10 days.

The work was last seen with Volume 11 at 22,986 copies sold of its pre-release and 20,148 copies sold in the next 7 days of its official release.

Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekakechuu was adapted into a 12-episode TV Anime series that aired from April to June 2022. The series was produced by Studio Kai and HORNETS.

The volume has reached 111,586 copies sold in its first 11 days.

Yofukashi no Uta Volume 15 has sold 70,580 copies in its first 11 days.

As there are no direct comparisons available for Overlord Volume 18‘s first 2 days of sales, it is difficult to make a direct comparison with previous volumes. However, based on its performance, it is possible that if the latest volume had been on sale for an additional day, it may not have sold more copies than Volume 17, which sold 33,485 copies during its first 3 days.

In July 2015, “Overlord” was adapted into a 13-episode TV Anime series by studio Madhouse, which was followed by multiple sequels. The most recent season (its fourth) aired from July 5 to September 27, 2022.

Compared to Youjo Senki‘s Volume 24, the 27th volume has sold 13.06% fewer copies during its first 2 days. However, if the latest volume had been on sale for one additional day, it may have had the chance to surpass Volume 26’s sales of 29,191 copies sold during its first 3 days.

In 2017, it received a 12-episode TV Anime series adaptation by studio Nut, which was then followed by a sequel film adaptation in February 2019. Another sequel is planned for release on an unannounced date with studio Nut set to return to helm the project.

The Regular Edition of the volume has sold 63,929 copies in its first 11 days.

The volume has achieved 54,278 copies sold in its first 11 days.

This would be the series’ first ever appearance on Oricon Top 30 sales chart.
