Analysis
Blue Lock‘s recent success has been remarkable, with the release of Volume 23 coinciding with the end of the Anime broadcast. The Manga has seen a positive reaction from readers since the Anime began, with Volume 21 selling 108,637 copies in its first 7 days – a 36.26% increase from Volume 14’s 79,726 copies sold. Volume 22 continued this trend, with 78,295 copies sold in the first 3 days – an increase of 62.50%, 30.32%, and 72.27% over Volumes 16, 17, and 20 respectively. However, Volume 23 has outperformed all previous volumes, with 196,726 physical copies sold in the first 4 days, as tracked by Oricon. This represents a 143.36% increase from Volume 18’s 80,839 copies sold in the same timeframe. Even if the sales period had been a few days longer, it would have still struggled to match the sales of previous volumes, which had higher average sales per day. For example, Volume 4 sold 94,157 copies in its first five days, averaging 18,831 copies sold per day, while Volume 11 sold 14,923 copies per day on average.

The latest volume has grossed 51,470,300 yen (≈394.51 thousand USD) in sales. However, compared to some of its other volumes, Volume 12 has only sold slightly more than Volume 10, which sold 50,210 copies in its first three days (including its Special Edition). Despite this, it still outperforms Volumes 5 to 7, which sold 51,503 copies, 47,364 copies, and 55,970 copies, respectively, in their first six days, five days, and seven days.

Analysis
In its first 4 days, Kakkou no Iinazuke Volume 16 sold 34.63% and 26.66% less copies than Volumes 3 and 11, respectively. Although it showed an improvement in average sales per day compared to the 3-day sales of Volume 15, it still sold fewer copies on average than most previous volumes. For example, its average of 9,705 copies per day is significantly lower than Volume 4’s 12,385 copies sold in its first 6 days. If the average per day does not improve and falls below 8,000 copies (which is likely), it may result in a lower overall sales figure than Volume 14’s 57,648 copies sold in its first 7 days (with an average of 8,235 copies per day).

Coming in 2nd is Uta no☆Prince-sama♪, grossing at 510.30 million yen (≈3.93 million USD) in sales.
