Japan Top Weekly Manga Sales Ranking: July 3 – July 9, 2023

Ao no Exorcist Volume 29 too does not have any other volumes with six days of sales since Volume 24. The six-day sales of Volume 29, however, is not noticeably less than that of the three-day sales of Volume 24 and Volume 26. The latest volume is also much less than the performance of Volume 25 at 137,178 copies in four days, but it is ahead slightly against the three-day sales of Volume 27 and Volume 28 at 70,089 copies and 74,112 copies.

Ao no Exorcist was adapted into a 25-episode TV Anime series in April 2011 by A-1 Pictures who then returned to animate its sequel that aired in January 2017 that lasted 12 episodes. The work is slated to receive a another sequel currently titled the “Shin Series”. However, much of the information about it has not been released yet, such as the date of broadcast and the studio responsible.

Mairimashita! Iruma-kun has managed to maintain its momentum with the entrance of its latest and 33rd volume despite a small drop in sales against other volumes within four days of sales. Volume 33 is 16.20% less than Volume 32’s 93,371 copies sold, but it still has an advantage over Volume 21, Volume 26 and Volume 29, all in their first four days.

The TV Anime adaptation of the Manga has recently concluded its third season (on March 4, 2023), which was produced by Bandai Namco Pictures. The first season aired from October 2019 to March 2020, while the second season aired from April to September 2021.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime Volume 26 has noted the series’ worst performance thus far since Volume 9. Although Volume 26’s 56,815 copies sold in five days is a good turnout, it is still pale in comparison to, among others, Volume 17’s 82,522 copies sold in three days and Volume 21’s 82,512 copies in four days. The series also saw a stronger outcome with Volume 11 at 54,382 copies sold in just two days.

The title received a split-cour Anime adaptation by Bones back in 2015 and 2016 but has so far not received an official sequel announcement.

Kekkai Sensen: Beat 3 Peat is the sequel title to Kekkai Sensen: Back 2 Back. The 1st volume is titled “Houraku Toshi 2.99” or “The Collapsed City 2.99”.

The prequel titles were adapted into a 12-episode (each) TV Anime series in 2015 and 2017 by studio Bones.

Note that you can find its 2nd volume at Number 11 with 40,982 copies sold in six days. In total, with Volume 1, copies sold stood at 84,079 copies for the two volumes as of the end of the week.

Isekai Nonbiri Nouka remains steady with the release of its 11th volume. The 41,027 copies sold in three days is more than Volume 9 by 3.20% but lower than Volume 6 by 2.40%. Against other volumes with varying days of sales, Volume 11 may have overtaken Volume 8’s 47,787 copies sold in four days, but it may struggle to do the same with Volume 5’s 52,531 copies in four days as well.

Studio Zero-G adapted the work into a 12-episode TV Anime series that aired from January 6 to March 24, 2023.

Owari no Seraph continues to perform poorly with Volume 30 unable to surpass sales of past volumes with four days of sales and others with much shorter days of sales. Volume 30 has noted a 78.49%, 56.23% and 17.50% drop in copies sold against Volume 14, Volume 20 and Volume 28. The series was at its strongest slightly before and after the first season Anime’s broadcast and continued to do well after Season 2’s broadcast. Copies sold began its decline from Volume 14 onwards and since then have not been able to repeat the success of past volumes.

Owari no Seraph was adapted into a 12-episode TV Anime series in April 2015 by Wit Studio and a sequel was broadcasted the same year in October, also by the same studio.

Boukenou Beet was last seen with its 16th volume at 44,989 copies sold in seven days between April 4 and April 10, 2022. Volume 17’s 37,841 copies sold may have struggle to outpace Volume 16’s performance had it gone a day longer.

Volume 17 is titled “Shin Saiga・Unaru”.

Seihantai na Kimi to Boku was last seen with Volume 3 at 19,136 copies sold in its first three days in February 2023. Volume 4’s 36,667 copies sold is much stronger than the performance of its prior volume amid much stronger average sales per day.

When compared to past volumes with shorter days of sales, Kemono Jihen Volume 19 only noted a minor increase in sales against Volume 14’s 35,032 copies sold in three days but fewer copies sold than Volume 15’s 45,662 copies sold in four days. Volume 19, however, does seem to be ahead of Volume 17 and Volume 18 as it exhibits stronger sales on average per day.

In January 2021, the title was adapted into a 12-episode TV Anime series by Ajia-Do.

Futsutsuka na Akujo dewa Gozaimasu ga: Suuguu Chouso Torikae Den Volume 5 has reached 48,498 copies sold in its first 10 days.

Youchien Wars last made an appearance with Volume 2 on COMIC ZIN’s list back in April 2022 in its first six days, but it failed to chart on Oricon’s Top 30 sales chart for the same week. The series, however, had successfully breached the Oricon’s Top 30 list for its 3rd volume which sold 20,666 copies in its first six days in May 2023. Volume 4’s 26,033 copies sold is ahead of Volume 3 by 25.97%.

1-nichi Gaishutsuroku Hanchou Volume 16‘s 23,921 copies sold in four days is not as good as Volume 13’s 24,305 copies in three days. However, it may have been able to overtake Volume 14’s 29,003 copies had it gone on sale here two more days. Volume 12 is still the series’ best performer so far among its latest five volumes.

In total, both of One Piece Film: Red‘s upper and lower volumes have sold 44,239 copies within their first six days.

Gokushufudou was last seen with its 11th volume at 32,909 copies sold, not in its first two days, however, in the next seven days of sales between January 9 and January 15, 2023.

Boku no Hero Academia Volume 38 has sold 592,672 copies in its first 38 days.

Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen was seen with Volume 10 on Oricon’s Top 30 list at 28,427 copies sold in its first 7 days and most recently made its 17th volume debut at 21,236 copies sold in six days back in April 2023. Volume 18’s 20,416 copies presents a 3.86% drop in sales against Volume 17.

The series will be adapted into a TV Anime series with its broadcast expected to happen in 2024. Studio SILVER LINK. will be responsible for the project.
